The Private Tea Table: Bespoke Tea Artistry for Exclusive Gatherings
New Experience
A private tea gathering built around your occasion. Wen designs a tea table set like a small work of art, and hosts an intimate afternoon or evening of rare Taiwanese teas for you and your guests.
**Before the gathering**
Each gathering begins with a short consultation. Wen learns about the occasion, your guests, duration and the mood you want, then designs the tea table around it, choosing the teaware, handmade paper, textiles, fresh flowers and colour palette to suit the season and your home.
**The experience**
- A welcome cold-brew tea as guests arrive
- A curated menu of rare teas, such as Lishan High Mountain Oolong, Oriental Beauty and traditional heavy-roasted Tieguanyin
- Each tea brewed at the table and told through its story: the mountain, the maker, the season it was picked
- The Taiwanese dual-cup ritual, with cup-flipping to release each tea's aroma
- A hands-on moment: guided by Wen, guests try brewing a tea themselves and learn to handle the traditional teapot and cups
- Handcrafted sweet and savoury pairings chosen to bring out each tea
- A handwritten tea menu for each guest to keep
Unhurried and personal, this is a gathering to slow down, savour and share. It suits milestone birthdays, anniversaries, intimate celebrations, hosting special guests, or simply a beautiful afternoon at home.

Wen is a London-based tea practitioner and tea culture presenter who shares Cha-Yi (茶藝), the Taiwanese art of tea, through hosted tastings, talks and cultural events.
Driven by the belief that tea is far more than a beverage, Wen presents it as a meeting point of history, culture, aesthetics and science. Her background in art history shapes how she brings each tea to life, from where it is grown and how it is crafted to the care behind every pour. Her aim is to show Londoners what Taiwan offers beyond bubble tea.
Every session is brewed and hosted by Wen herself, using traditional teaware and the Taiwanese dual-cup tasting set, with one cup for aroma and one for sipping. Guests learn to notice aroma, flavour and finish while discovering each tea’s origin and character, alongside thoughtfully chosen food pairings. Her loose-leaf teas are sourced directly from Taiwan, from Baozhong and Dong Ding to Oriental Beauty and Lishan High Mountain Oolong.
Wen hosts intimate home gatherings, community and cultural events, workshops and corporate occasions. Sessions are relaxed, alcohol-free and welcoming to beginners and enthusiasts alike, with everything taken care of, from set-up to pack-down.
