Hometainment has become my go-to for private events, small and large! Chef Greg was on time to both events, and his salads were delicious. Definitely recommend for a fuss free breakfast or lunch set up.
The Oyster Society absolutely made our anniversary party. All our guests raved about the quality and the presentation. The whole team is so professional and responsive I felt in really great hands in the run up to the party and on the night itself. We wanted to do something memorable and special to celebrate with friends that would elevate a gathering at home, and The Oyster Society delivered in spades. Jacob did a great job and made us feel important from the first communication, which some other chefs hadn't when we were speaking with them. He was responsive and gave good ideas and suggestions when we spoke, allowing us to make the decisions quickly. He was also flexible when numbers etc changed nearer to the event, Helping find a server for the day meant we had a lunch that felt extra special and everyone loved the food - with generous portions and good quality food. The lobster risotto was an amazing start to the meal and really set the scene for what followed. The kitchen was left clean and tidy and the day was a joy.
Jacob cooked an incredible 3 course meal with canapes. Each dish was full of unique flavours and interesting, fresh ingredients. The presentation was beautiful and portions were huge! Jacob was super accommodating and friendly, with great service!
We are very pleased with Chef Francois who was so flexible and managed to solve unexpected problems at last minute. The management was extremely professional and accommodating too. They made it very easy to book their service. They offer wine pairing as well. So glad we used them. The only let down was the waitress who came did not seem to be very experienced. Even though she seems like a very nice person, she had to be reminded to top up the glasses of wine before the glass go empty. Would definitely use them again.
Mack was BRILLIANT and I wouldn't hesitate to book him again. I highly recommend him. He was very responsive and communicative to deal with from the minute we booked. He was punctual and reliable. He played amazing music, which really added to the party atmosphere at our house. He's also a really friendly, lovely guy and all the guests loved him. We will definitely be booking him again.

I don’t know where to start. The whole experience was superb! The guests really enjoyed popping in and out of the kitchen watching Jacob prep the meals. He didn’t mind people asking things and we all really enjoyed his company. Soft shell crab - to die for! The masala sauce was on point and the presentation was impeccable. Jacob realised we had chosen similar sauces for our starters and mains and he used his intuition to change a few things with the mains which was delicious. Dessert - The Rum soaked sticky toffee pudding was not too sweet, had the right consistency and we all whacked it ( despite being so full from the starters and mains). It was so nice to experience a family recipe. Jacob, your grandma must be so proud!
We had Chef Chad to do the food at my wife’s Mexican themed get together as the initial restrictions ended. We did it sharing/buffet style to suit the informal nature of the event. The booking was super easy and Chad got back to me immediately to discuss the menu and what I was looking for. All sorted out very quickly. Chad was an absolute delight to have in the kitchen and the food….WOW…..our guests could not of been happier. My personal favourite was the Beef Barbacoa a slow cooked brisket cooked in beef stock, ancho, pasilla, jalapeño, salsa verde, adobo, onions and garlic. The Chicken cooked with tequila and baked black beans were also getting rave reviews but in truth it was all delicious. It was made all the more interesting as Chad gathered the group together to explain every dish, not just the dish but how it was created. A special day. Thanks Chad!
